What is a Pikler Triangle?
A Pikler Triangle is an open-ended wooden climbing structure that encourages children to explore movement at their own pace. It supports balance, strength, coordination, confidence, and imaginative play—allowing children to challenge themselves safely and independently.
What ages is it best for?
Recommended for children 18 months to 6+ years. It adapts as your child grows—from early assisted climbing to more advanced, confident movement and creative play.
Mini or Original — which should I choose?
Both sizes offer the same developmental benefits. The difference is scale and longevity.
Mini: Lower height, ideal for younger toddlers and smaller spaces.
Original: Taller and wider, designed for multi-year use and bigger movement.
Both sizes are compatible with Bunny Hopkins ramps and accessories.
Is it safe?
Yes. Each Pikler Triangle is handcrafted in our Georgia workshop using durable hardwood and non-toxic, water-based finishes. It is third-party tested to meet or exceed CPSIA, CPSC, and ASTM safety standards.
For best results, place on a rug or carpet and keep the surrounding area clear. Adult supervision is recommended during active play.
What is the weight limit?
The Pikler Triangle and all compatible ramps are rated for up to 350 lbs, supporting long-term use and sibling play.
Does it fold for storage?
Yes. The triangle is designed to fold when needed.
To prioritize structural stability and long-term durability, the folding mechanism is secured with bolts rather than quick-release pins. This prevents accidental collapse, loose hardware, or finger pinching during active play.
Folding requires loosening the bolts using the included Allen wrench. We intentionally chose this design to prioritize safety and strength over quick-collapse convenience.

Does it require assembly?
Yes. Minimal assembly is required upon delivery. All necessary hardware is included. If you need assistance, our support team is always happy to help.
What ramp options are available?
We offer two 2-in-1 reversible ramps:
Rockwall / Slide: Climb textured grips on one side, flip to a smooth slide.
Ladder / Slide: Ladder climbing on one side, slide on the other.
Both ramps attach easily and expand play as skills develop.
Can the ramps be used with other structures?
Our ramps are designed specifically for the Bunny Hopkins Pikler Triangle to ensure proper fit and safe use. Compatibility with other brands should be carefully verified before use.
Can more than one child play at a time?
Yes. The sturdy construction supports shared and turn-based play, encouraging social interaction and cooperative movement.
Why does each triangle look slightly different?
Every piece is handcrafted from real wood. Natural grain patterns, knots, and tonal variations are part of what make each structure unique—no two are exactly alike.
What’s the difference between Raw Timber and finished options like Maple Magic?
Raw Timber is unfinished wood—straight from our Georgia workshop with no protective sealant. It’s ideal for families who want to stain or finish the piece themselves.
Finished options, including Maple Magic and our color finishes, are sealed with a durable, non-toxic, water-based finish that enhances the natural grain while protecting the structure for long-term use.
How do I care for it?
Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners, excess moisture, and prolonged outdoor exposure. Periodically check fasteners to ensure continued stability.
Is it Montessori or Pikler certified?
Our design is inspired by Montessori and Pikler principles, which emphasize independent movement and child-led exploration. The Bunny Hopkins Pikler Triangle is our original interpretation, crafted to our own quality and safety standards.
