The Natural Wood variation is for the creative DIYers. Just the stepping stones lightly sanded, with no wood stains and finishing. Get creative and finish it the way you like! One disclaimer on the Natural Wood option - Children play in many creative ways with Stepping Stones and without a protective coating, it will tend to get dirty. So, choose this option only if you intend to finish it yourself; else we suggest choosing from any of the Finished variations (Rainbow, Diversity, or Honey Maple). 100 % Handmade in USA wooden circles are handcrafted by local craftsmen in its Atlanta, Georgia workshop. Each 10” large circle entices preschoolers and older kids to jump, spin or joyfully step as they imagine an obstacle course that gives a full-body stretch!

Imaginative open-end play is not limited to just preschoolers as children, teens and even grownups enjoy the challenge of setting up the flat wooden pieces to create an age-appropriate obstacle course. All of a sudden, the path becomes a hot lava trail or perhaps a simple stacking game. Intrigued explorers get a boost physically and improve gross motor skills. Final finishing for all variations (except Unfinished) is done by beeswax. If you are a vegan, please leave a note for us when you place your order and we will finish it with Tung Oil instead.

We only finish them only after you order and let us know your custom preference of variation. We make these products by hand, passionately. Well, technically the machines cut the wood and we finish them by hand, but you get the point! :) And we use natural water-based materials to finish them.
Purposefully minimal and open-ended in design to promote creative and active play, our wooden toys are handcrafted by local craftsmen at Bunny Hopkins workshop in Atlanta, Georgia and trusted by families, schools and your neighborhood toy stores.
